Motherhood and Sisterhood of women

This short YouTube video is just perfect, as an accompaniment, for my last two blogs and celebrates Women’s international Day 2008.

Where ever you are and what ever you have done, I hope it has been a time to reflect on who you are as a woman. And if you are a man reading this, then I hope you can reflect on any women’s achievements you might know of in your life, as well as your own successes . We should have Men’s International Day too, if we don’t have it already!

The fact that everyone, how ever big or small, can make a difference to the lives of those around them. Not just for women but for all our loved ones, our partners, family and friends.

Think about the lives of people who are oppressed, persecuted and who do not have the same freedom of expression that so many of us enjoy in our modern western society.

Do something nice for the one you love today, and remember it is women who can drive change, become more empowered and create a more caring, compassionate society. We have the means and the drive.

Start today!

Make a difference!
